Bowers & Wilkins – Hear True

Think

Think you know Engineering?

For the first installment of Bowers & Wilkins 'Hear True' campaign, we enlisted the help of Mercury Music Prize-winners Wolf Alice.

As a female-led pop/rock band soon to be playing the Pyramid stage at Glastonbury, they were perfect casting to showcase the launch of Bowers & Wilkins series 2 version of the over-ear Px7 headphones. Some of the best audio accessories on the market.  Through a series of interviews, and a static and moving image shoot, we created a launch calendar that rolled for six months, with each post touching on the authenticity that goes into their music, and the authenticity in sound that they expect to hear from B&W and the music that influences them.

In collaboration with EngineeringUK and industry partners, we created the #ThisIsEngineering campaign for the Royal Academy of Engineering.

As part of the fourth season of activity for the Academy, we chose to shift the focus towards the sheer breadth that Engineering covers, and how it can take you into any walk of life – from bath bombs to boxing to bass bins to bionics. This enabled us to plunder even more of the fantastic footage captured on the shoots with each Engineer we've met on our journey so far – and to continue to challenge perceptions.

SOUND AS THE
ARTIST INTENDED

B&W Px7s deliver quality that puts nothing between the listener and the recorded music. We were looking for younger, pop-conscious listeners to experience them, so we worked with Wolf Alice at Livingston Studios where they recorded early in their career – building true authentic sound in from the ground up.

QUALITY IN DETAIL

We also faithfully recreated each colourway of Bowers & Wilkins Px7 S2 headphones in CGI so that the beautiful kit could extend into social feeds, e-commerce spaces and across all of B&W's owned platforms. Positioning them in empty space allowed for us to travel around them to show off the new materials, advanced technological features and highly engineered design and craft of the units themselves.
